Problem: Hardware
Computer Type: Apple
Model: Laser Writer Select 360
RAM: Don't know
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: Not related

Description:
We have an Apple Laser Writer Select 360 in our school lab. It is currently hooked up to 17 Macs. It was purchased new and we have all the original software--both Mac and PC.

According to the manual, the printer is compatible with PC. It has both a parallel and a serial port.

We recently set up a Dell PC in the lab. I would like to know if we can purchase a parallel cable and hook up the PC to the Laser Writer at the same time it is hooked up to the Macs.

If this is possible, please let me know what type of cable to purchase.

Thank you,

Jeanine Mahl,

Yes it is possible.
Specs for cable. You'll probably have to make some calls to find a cable.
One Parallel (36-pin Centronics) port.
