KNOWLEDGE LEVEL: Intermediate

PROBLEM: Software
COMPUTER TYPE: Gateway
MODEL: Pentium Pro 200
RAM: 64meg
OS VERSION: Windows 95
SERVICE PACK:

DESCRIPTION:

I'm running Windows 95 with Microsoft Office 97 on a Gateway computer with the Intel Pentium Pro processor.

Presently learning the Microsoft PowerPoint program through the book course Microsoft PowerPoint '97 for Business Applications by International Publishing (used by the local Jr. College).

In the course of one of the lessons - Chapter 6a / Step 2 (page 106 & 107) I am directed to "double click to add org chart".

Doing this I receive the following error statement: The server application, source file, or item con't be found. You should reinstall the server application."

I have done this several times with the same result.

I don't know what is meant by the "server application". Further I've been told I need to "add the Microsoft Org Chart" which as I understand in nested within PowerPoint itself.

I'm baffled. Any ideas ???

Thanks

Bruce Hardy

Bruce:

Pop in your Office '97 CD into the drive. Run the Office setup program. In the Office setup go to Add/Remove....click on "Office Tools" then click on "Change Option".....put a box by Organiziation Chart.....and click on "Continue".......this will install the application and you will then be able to use it in PP.

Sincerely,
James Kelley
