Knowledge Level: Beginner

Problem: Hardware
Computer Type: apple
Model: performa 6360 and ColorStylewriter 2500
RAM: 32meg
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: MacOS 8.1

Description:
Everything was fine until I started loading US West.net's Netscape software and this thing called MacComCenter. Then, the next time I went to print I got an error message saying that there either is no printer or its not properly connected.

Now that I have a connection to US West, using a Motorola 56K modem supplied by them, the error message reads "serial port is in use by another application. Quit that and print again".

I thought the printer was on the parallel port. Using chooser I select printer port, but it does not seem effective.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi Greg,
Your problem is that you have AppleTalk turned on. Try turning it off in the Chooser.

Hope this works. If not email me.
