TICKET ARCHIVE -> reinstall files

Description:
Somehow, my files for desktop pictures in mac os8 got messed up, and when I ran norton utilities, it said I should reinstall them. What i want to know is, can I just reinstall them only, and not have to do a whole system clean reinstall? I hate having to fool around with the two system folders again. If so, can you tell me step by step how do reinstall just those files? Also, I wondered if I should bother upgrading to os8.1, because I remember reading something about my model of computer not being able to work well with it, or something like that.

Hi Joe, welcome to Nowonder, I'm robertw.
You'll have to reinstall OS 8, can't just install Desktop Pictures.
OS 8 is the highest you can go with the Performa 631CD.
