Hey guys,

My Safari program wouldn't launch and even the icon changed. How can I restore it and still save my old settings?

Safari still works for other users on the same computer. What's with that?

Hi dan

Try trashing the 'com.apple.safari.plist' file located here;

user>library>preferences

for your user.

Hi BobW,

I tried trashing the com.safari.plist as you suggested, then restarted, but am still faced with the same odd icon and no startup on Safari just for the one user.

Got any ideas on what to try next? I'd like to save my bookmarks and such.

First, save the bookmarks located here;

user>library>safari

Then move that entire folder to the Desktop.

Next, download 'Yasu" (free) and use that to clear all Caches.
Download here;

After that, try Safari again.
