TICKET ARCHIVE -> Safari + Yahoo Mail = Headache

I am trying to get into my Yahoo! mail account page to look at my mail, and it keeps giving me the same message:

"Safari can't open the page because of a "bad server response" (NSURLErrorDomain:-1011)"


I am using Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.1

I too have a Yahoo! mail account and I'm running Tiger 10.4.1. using Safari 2.0. When I go to login to my account everything works fine for me. Instead of checking for your mail through the web, have you thought of using Mail. That's what I did. I created a new mailbox and called it Yahoo. Follow the steps below and it should help.

Open Mail, go to Preferences. Click on the Accounts tab and click on the "+" symbol on the bottom left corner. Fill in the following values:

Account Type: POP
Description: Yahoo
Email Address: "username"@yahoo.com
Incoming Mail Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
User Name: "your user name"
Password: "your password"
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): "your isp outgoing mail server"

That's it. Hopefully this helps. If it doesn't, please let me know.

I contacted yahoo today and am waiting for a reply.
Checking my FREE yahoo account on mail?
I tried and it didn't work.
