I cannot get Quicktime to save movie clips onto my desktop with my new iBook G4. With my older OS9 and Quicktime pro, almost any clip of any kind saves easily. Have I installed my new Quicktime pro incorrectly or is Internet Explorer not recognizing it. The little arrow that indicates "Save as source" or "Save as quicktime movie" NEVER appears. Also, in OS 9, the clips appear in a new window with all the buttons, url address, etc.. In OSX, the clips appear in a special little window; with the red, yellow, green buttons only. Please, advise.

Robert,

open System Preferences and and click the QuickTime preference pane. Click the Register button to see if you have registered as a pro user.

Do I understand you correct? The problem occurs if you try to save a video-clip from Internet Explorer? Have you tried using Safari? Could you give me an example?

Thanks for your help. Yes, Safari does open the video clips and allow me to save them. However, Internet Explorer (my favorite browser) does not. I wonder if it is because I have OS 9 as well as OSX and OS 9 uses Quicktime 6.0.3. Perhaps there is some kind of conflict. I will probably just use Safari and stop trying to fix the IE problem.
