My entourage X database got corrupted so I attempted to rebuild it. The standard rebuild did not work and reported inadequate space on my hard drive to do so, which was certainly NOT the case, with over 50 GB available.
Then did an "advanced" rebuild, and it seemed successful except that all the messages in every folder are there except the one I need most: INBOX!
I have tried re-rebuilding it, I have tried moving the database to a machine running Panther on it. No avail.
I also tried to use EEAX but the Entrourage program must be running in order for that to work, and I can not get Entourage to run with the user that has the corrupted database as default.
This machine is running Tiger 10.4.2
Anyone know of any utilities that can reclaim whatever is still readable in the Inbox portion of the database?
Any other ideas are welcome.
Bob, welcome on macosx.com
May I redirect you to this Entourage Help site
http://www.entourage.mvps.org/database/corrupt.html
which discuss about corrupted db.
Especially the EntourageAid facility or the "edit box" way, a little bit tedious, but can help if you have only a few message to get back
