I want to configure the setting of all the opening applications to full screen, such as IE, OpenOffice, etc.
I tried to find the setting on the preference menu of IE, and finder. I also tried to locate it from the help menu.
However, I was not successful.
Please help me if you know how to change the setting.
It is so inconvenient to adjust the size of each application everytime it is opened.
There is no such preference item because usually maximizing a window is a waste of screen real estate. In a Web browser, you often end up with a bunch of blank space, too. That's how Mac power users usually think about it, anyway. Your best bet is to hope an application is built to save the size of a new document window if you set it to that size and then close the window.
The Finder definitely operates that way. Make a new window. Set it as desired. Close. Safari is the same. So are other Apple applications, especially because they are mostly single window interfaces (iTunes, iCal, etc.). Productivity apps like Word might not work the same.
