I am trying to set up a new computer that has classic application. The printer is an epson r200. Classic apps run fine, but shooser does not let me set up new printers. The instructions say to boot in OS 9 and then run chooser. Startup disk does not have an OS 9 boot option. What do I do?

Hi John
You need to install the drivers in OS 9 (Classic). If you don't have the driver, you can download it here;

Thank you, got your message, appears to work on mine. will verify on customers. I wonder why the epson docs don't mention this?

John
Anytime you want to use a printer on a system, the drivers need to be installed on that system. I guess Epson figures everyone would know this.
Glad I could help.

I understand that they need to be set up. In their instructions, they say you have to boot in classic mode and use chooser. They do not mention that there is a seperate setup program on the net. They do not have the setup program on the CD.

John
There are a number of companies that could do better with instructions for installs, especially with OS X and Classic.
I've emailed a couple companies about providing better instructions, Epson was one of them.
