Hi, I purchased above printer and followed the directions in setting up the printer. My iBook is wireless and so is the printer.
All the steps worked and yes i can print, however after 'adding printer in the printer list dialogue box, the next instruction says 'select EPSOM USB from the pop-up menu. Select STYLUS PHOTO R210 in the product list then select ALL from the Page Setup pop-up menu. Click add. make sure the printer list contains the printer (margin-type) options'.
None of this is happening, no pop-up menu etc etc.
Do I delete what i have loaded and start again but not wireless? Any suggestions gratefully received.

Karen,
(I'm going to try to help, but I have to return you to the rest of the Techs by today, because I'm going on vacation.)
When you say wireless, I guess you have a wireless print server? Setting up for a print server is completely different, and, the Epson USB driver doesn't support network printing. You will need to install a newer version of Gutenprint (Gimp-Print) than the one that came with Panther or Tiger.
If that's what you want, please get the Gutenprint-5.0.0beta4.ppc.dmg file from:
Sourceforge Gutenprint site.
Start by uninstalling (there's a problem in Tiger that requires uninstalling first), then install.
After that, tell me what model print server and whether you've set it up with a static IP address.
Good luck.

Karen,
I couldn't find your model R210 in the Epson USA support web pages - so I'm guessing it's a special model -- maybe you have an Epson Wireless Print Server built-in? If that's the case, then you need to follow the instructions that say to select Epson IP (not Epson USB).
Does that help?

Hi, I think I have it working. I uninstalled everything and then reinstalled. Seemed to have the same problem however I selected EPSON IP as you suggested and popup menu did appear. This time I had the printer plugged into the laptop, don't know it this made the difference.
I now have the option 'sheet feeder- borderless' that wasn't there before.
Printing worked HOWEVER when I plugged USB cable into my 'airport', it didn't print. I don't really mind, as long as it prints from the laptop. Maybe this printer isn't designed for airport however when I purchased it I did specify I wanted to be able to print using Airport. I will go back to the supplier and let them know. Karen
