Description:
When I awaken my powerbook it either shows a grey blank screen for about 30 seconds or it shows the desktop but is froze for about 30 seconds and then works ok. It does not do this all of the time but it does do this most of the time. It does this with all of the extensions off also.

I'm sorry it's taken so long to get back to you on this. There are so many different steps to take when trying to resolve sleep problems, that I think it's best to refer you to Apple's article "PowerBook: Problems Waking From Sleep or Dimming." You can find it at the following URL:

It will go over several troubleshooting steps that will help you find out the cause and hopefully a solution to your problem.
