Description:
I have OS 8 available to me for installation. I do not know whether this is desirable. Is it possible that it could improve the function of my MacLinkPlus 10 or QuickTime 3.0 programs, with which I have had some trouble? Are there other ways in which it could benefit the functionof my machine?

Are there downsides to installing it?

Hi John, welcome to Nowonder, I'm robertw.
Install OS8, you'll be glad you did. A lot of improvements and much more stable. Most apps will run better.
