KNOWLEDGE LEVEL: Intermediate

PROBLEM: Combination
COMPUTER TYPE: Syquest
MODEL: SparQ
RAM: 32meg
OS VERSION: Windows 95
SERVICE PACK: 4.00.950

DESCRIPTION:

SparQ drive ejects cartridges at P.O.S.T. and most other times. If PC is booted up with no cartridge in the SparQ drive it will then accept only one of the four I have, either ejecting or ignoring the others INCLUDING THE ORIGINAL STARTER CARTRIDGE. Two days ago it would accept this cartridge but not today. Started with the "wrong" cartridge, boot-up takes a long time followed by a drive failure message and "press F1 to start". This drive worked well for months but has been intractible since a hard-drive breakdown necessitated adding a new one. (Old hard drive, reformatted to a slightly smaller size to eliminate bad sectors, is now slaved and working fine.)
