TICKET ARCHIVE -> Spotlight Problem

When I use Spotlight it's not finding everything. I've checked prefernces etc but it's only finding a fraction of the stuff that IS THERE!

Any ideas?

Hello Brian,

Thank you for contacting MacOSX.com support.

Here is an easy way to force Spotlight to re-index your harddrive:

-Open Spotlight preferences,
-Select "Privacy",
-Drag your harddrive icon to the privacy list,
-Click the minus sign to remove your harddrive from the privacy list.

Please note that it can take Spotlight quite a while to re-index your drive, depending on how large it is.
