Description:
We use ClarisWorks 4.0. I have upgraded to revision 5. All of a sudden the application crashes whenever I go to the Page Setup. I just go to that menu and Norton gives me a message that there has been an illegal instruction and that the application has crashed.
I suspect the prefs but cannot find a ClarisWorks Prefs file.
I have dumped the old version and reloaded with disks - no relief. I have copied the application and Claris folder over from another computer - no relief.
Any suggestions?

Alan,
Did you reallocate memory to the program when you updated CW?
Click once on the startup icon and do a File, Get Info. Change the Minimum Size to at least 25% more than the Suggested Size. Change the Preferred Size to 12,000K.
I am the tech of a 7th and 8th grade building that runs CW 2.1 and 4.0. I use 4.0v5 myself with no problems. If this happens again, give me a call.
