Problem: Combination
Computer Type: Apple
Model: Powerbook 1400c
RAM: 48meg
RAM Enhancer: Virtual Memory
OS Version: MacOS 8.1

Description:
This is probably not a difficult problem, but I have not been able to find the answer in any of my reference manuals. I have loaded a golf game onto my Powerbook and ever since that time, I get 2 successive dialog boxes at start up that read "ATM cannot be installed until you remove all older versions of ATM. (Remove ATM GX and ATM68000 or ATM68020/030/040 from System Folder)." I can't find any such file to remove. Also, I aborted an installation of Stuffit Deluxe and tried to remove it and now get a 3rd dialog box at start up that reads "This copy of SpaceSaver has not been correctly installed. Please re-install from your master disks." I don't want to install it for now, want this message gone!! Any suggestions?

Hi Patricia,

Look in the Alladin folder, inside the Extensions folder, inside your system folder. Move anything that says SS or Spacesaver or Backup into the trash. Now look in the Control Panels folder and move ~ATM™ to the trash. That should fix the problem. If not, do an install of Stuffit Spacesaver. Then run the installer again, and choose Remove instead of install.

Hope this helps, thanks for using No Wonder!
