Hi Neil, and welcome to NoWonder!

The screen your seeing is the result of a file being in the wrong spot. Go to Windows Explorer, and go to the Windows Foler, and see if you can find a file there called "LOGOS.SYS". This is the file for showing "It is now safe to turn off you computer". There also should be 2 other files there also, called LOGO.SYS, which is the Microsoft clouds and the words WINDOWS 95, and LOGOW.SYS, Which is the clouds and sky you see BEFORE you see the "it is now safe........ screen. All 3 of these files MUST be present, or it won't work right. If the other 2 are NOT there, run Find Files and Folders, and type the file name in the field and see if it is on your system, just in the wrong folder. If, by some chance its not there, E-mail me back, and I will e-mail you the 2 files you need. Just remember, the y go in the Windows folder. I lost my Cloud screen a year ago, and copied one from my computer at work and installed it here.

If you have any further questions, feel free to e-mail me.

Thanks again for using NoWonder!
