The Airport Extreme card in my Powerbook seems to have no trouble detecting my base station, which is a BTvoyager 2100, but I get no connection to the internet. The same is true if I plug into the router by ethernet, that I get no connection to the internet, although Network Status tells me I am connected. It seems not to be a wireless issue, since I can access the Configuration pages of the router wirelessly, no problem. If I use Network Diagnostics, it shows a green light beside Airport, Airport Settings, Network Settings and ISP, but a red light beside Internet and Server. I have gone through the steps of Network Diagnostics (which includes rebooting the router) several times with no success. I have had this problem ever since installing TIger. It seems as though my computer is connecting to the router (both wirelessly and with ethernet), and the router is connected to the internet OK, but for some reason the internet connection is not available to my computer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.
Andrew,
Sounds like perhaps a DNS issue...can you open a terminal and ping the router's IP (found in TCP/IP section of ethernet or airport network pref pane)? How about
www.apple.com?
Do you have manual DNS entries in your network preferences?
Let us know and good luck!

Many thanks. It was indeed a DNS issue. With Panther, I got by fine without having to specify the DNS addresses. For some reason, Tiger requires that I input them manually. It took me a while to find out what the DNS addresses were, but once I got them from my router everything snapped back into line. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
