Help! Now I've really messed things up...
My friend Cindy inherited a nice PC, which had been used in a corporate/LAN environment...now she is trying to hook it up at home with an external modem, and I was "helping" her by installing the latest AOL 4.0 software from CD-ROM.
After the install, the PC only boots into Safe Mode. I uninstalled AOL, to no avail.
Nothing I do seems to fix it. I have Norton Utilities, but can't run the CD-ROM in "safe" mode...
Cindy has none of the disks or CDs that may have come with this PC...but I _do_ have a Windows 95 CD-ROM (full version) --- can I install Windows on top of itself?
Thank you for any help you can offer!

Hello,
You might as well go ahead and try the reinstall...what have you got to lose. Of course make sure that the windows cd isn't made just for a certain computer type (IE and nec version of windows on a compac won't work)
