I've recently upgraded my mac G4 from os 9 to os x.3.9
My cd burner is a Que!usb 9L17FH0496. I installed the toast 6 software but the computer does not recognize the presence of the hardware. Someone told me that i need the correct firewire software to solve this issue. I run the burner through the usb connection via a usb hub. Can you help. Richard

Is the Que drive seen on the USB bus in your System Profiler?
You may find that Toast might not recognize some older burners, and this certainly qualifies as an older burner.
can you burn directly from the Finder? what happens when you insert a blank CD-R in the drive?
