Problem: Hardware
Computer Type: apple

RAM: 32meg
RAM Enhancer: Ram Doubler 2.x
OS Version: MacOS 8

Description:
I have a sound file that I put in my startup items folder. I trashed that file and thought that the file was gone. However, everytime I startup the computer I still get the sound file palying. What should I do?

Hello Ottis and Welcome to No Wonder!

The sound file has to still be on your Mac somewhere in order for it to be played. Use your FindFile to look for it on your hard drive, and then drag it from the upper portion of the Items Found window directly to your trash. Restart your Mac and the startup sound should be gone.
