Hi I just bought a powerbook with new operating system 10.4. I have a wanadoo live box wireless netowkr at home with a PC. I am trying to set up my mac to link into the wireless wanadoo system, It isn't working I spoke to wanadoo who said other users had managed but they didn't know how?!
I have downloaded their installation software and tried that but to no avail? what should I do?

If you click on the Airport icon in your menu bar - do you see the wanadoo network in the dropdown? If so, what happens when you select that network?

Hi Dale
Yes the wanadoo network is visible, it asks for the password which I have and then says that the base-station has a list of authorised computers and my new computer is not on that list. When I look at the wanadoo settings on my PC I can see the computers that have been linnked but there seems now way to add any others?
I have tried setting the security to low but it still doesn't work?

Try restarting the wanadoo box. Unplug the power cord to that, and leave it for a couple of minutes, then plug back in. This same trick will work with cable modems, maybe it will force the wanadoo to match up to your new computer, too.
