DESCRIPTION:

There aparently is some sort of wav file that is in continuous play on my system. When I check the advanced volume control, the wav balance is always showing a graphical indication of something playing. All other type of sound files work OK. How can I find out what file is causing this problem?

Hello,
Thanks for using No Wonder. If the .Wav file is playing all the time it should show up in the Task manager. The way to launch the Task Manager is to press the old Ctrl-Alt-Del at the same time then in the Task manager window you should see what file is playing. This will give you and idea as to what it is and then delete it or find out why it starts when you boot it up.
