I have been trying to find a way to know if someone I know is online. Most software requires that the other person have that software too. I've tried 'Finger' but it doesn't always work and I think its only for UNIX accounts. Is there any shareware/freeware that can tell you if family or friends are online without them having to have the software too? If not, is there any software that you would recommend. Thanks.
