My iBook is almost five years old now, but is running well with OS 9.1. I didn't buy the airport card when I bought it, and am now wondering if I did find one for it, could I use it to access the internet with WiFi? If not, is there any way I could access WiFi with this iBook?
Thanks very much!

Hi Tom
The answer is yes.
You can buy the card here;

Bob--
I bought the card from MacWireless, and install was a snap. You may not believe it, but it was the first time I cracked open the insides in five years!
I checked and saw that I already had Airport software on board--the extension, etc.--but the app itself is missing. I poured over the Apple site, but could not find the install that will run with 9.1.
Coupla questions:
Can I give up the ghost of Classic and upgrade this guy to OSX? It's only 300MHz. I know I'd have to upgrade the RAM, which is only 96MB right now (but fine for my browser and word processor, which is just about all I use it for, and explains my contentedness with 9.1).
Second, my goal is to be able to access free nets, like at the public library. Will I need an antennae to do that with either Classic or a version of OSX?
Thanks for all!
Tom

Yes, you can upgrade to OS X, but I would put as much ram in as you can, 256MN at the min.
You shouldn't need an antenna to joing other networks you're near.
