DESCRIPTION:

I have recently begun to take some classes at a local college and I find myself in a computer lab with all new iMac's. My question is pertaining to a zip disk. Can I utilize a zip disk formatted for IBM use by inserting into Mac and reformatting or do I need to purchase a disk strictly formatted for mac? Thanks for any help you can offer..

Karen, you can use the PC disk on a Mac, but you do have to format it.
Open the drive and look for the format command. Be aware, it will take 20 minutes or more to format it. (At least, it took a lot longer than 20 minutes to format my Superdisk from Mac to PC, and that was an internal IDE drive.
Good luck
