Live Streams cause Plug-in Failure

My new (September) MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz has 10.6.6 installed with 4 gigs of RAM.

When I stream live video in both Safari and Chrome, I get audio only (no video) and after a minute or so, the plug-in fails. It happens more quickly in Safari than in Chrome, but both of them crash.

So far I updated all software (only iTunes needed an update) and have re-installed Flash (10.1). I reset PRAM (4 or 5 chimes) and even re-installed Safari. All the same.

I have only Growl installed as extra system prefs

Saved video plays fine.

I am hoping that I don't have to re-install the system.

testing out a fix-

I right click on the object before starting it and select settings
then de-select "enable hardware acceleration"

Seems to work

Download the Flash deinstaller and then log out. Then log back in and reinstall Flash player.

Now one thing I want to say, if you are running in 64 bit mode use 64 bit Flash Player. Just one warning. Some Flash sites will not run in 64 bit flash Player (if the site is a couple of years old).
