I need to help on my Mac OS X: 1. Whenever I try to open files on my Mac such as Firefox and Windows Messenger for Mac, they appear on the Dock for 2 seconds, bouncing up and down like if you open a program, then disappear off the Dock and nothing happens. Alright, thanks for the quick replies! I have an Ibook G4 1.2ghz PPC. I think its the later 2004 one before it was discontinued. I dont do too much on my computer, just use Adium , fire fox and a game (that runs fine) My iStat says (Swap) 186mb (256mb) Not sure what this is 46642 pages in

Hi Zpelleti, My name is Jeremy. Recently, I had the same problem on a Mac of my own. For Firefox, try starting in safe mode by opening Terminal and typing the following without the quotes: "/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -safe-mode".
