One easy way that may work. Download AppZapper ( http://www.appzapper.com/ , it's free for five trys). Then use it to remove your new install. It should pick up most components, it's gotten pretty good. Then try a fresh install of your new app.

well as far as deleting things, you can use the program AppZapper. just drag and drop the Application(s) and it will find them for you. But its shareware and it lets you get only 5 tries in. I say just let it do the finding for you, then you just hunt the files and trash em. Once everything is gone, go and install Office. ...
