What Gia said is true -- you cannot make it read/write like a "normal drive." Finder-mounted FTP shares are read-only, and there is nothing you can do about it, period. There are programs out there that support read/write FTP, and if you're looking to just do simple text-editing, then you can use TextWrangler (free) or BBEdit (commercial) to edit text files directly on FTP...

If you're learning how to hand-write HTML from scratch, then nothing beats a good text editor... TextEdit, BBEdit, TextWrangler, etc. If you can't write and understand HTML by hand, then a WYSIWYG editor like Dreamweaver (in some respects) won't do you any good. Is there anyway in BBEdit when using the search under CMD F to be able to search for words in a document and hit Find, then it will show a word, then hit Find again and it will keep doing this? Currently the entire Find & Replace window closes when I click Find and I have to keep clicking CMD F to get it back up which is a real pain.

I LOST MY HEAD,,, I have done it before but now I cant remember HOW?? I have an emaillist of over 14000 addresses and put the in in BBedit. The I add an suffix of "," after each mail to make it a CVS file. BUT the I want one address per line and not wraped as they are now. I can't for my life rememebr how to do that :(
