Is it possile to use an imac G3 as a TV? I think it's not gonna work with eyeTV, because it requires a G4 processor. Thanks in advance!

what do you mean doesn't support hdtv? it says right on the webpage i linked: . i have one and it recieves broadcast hdtv channels that my 250 never sees. i just can't use all the hd features on it because i only have a g4. as for the g5 vs mini, like eric said, the g5 has the speedier hard drives/interface/beefy vid card and mondo ram that make video editing a breeze.

well, you stick with elgato and get an eyetv hybrid. i just got one, and its really nice. only draw back is that its software encoding, not hardware. ...

i have both the eyetv 250 and hybrid, and they are great. just wish i had a new mac to use all the hd features of the hybrid, but make watching tv easy on my mac. ...

If you're trying to get an outside cable signal in, and eyetv thing may be what you're after; http://www.elgato.com/, if you want an output, a mini-vga/dvi (depending on model), to s-video/coaxial adapter would work..
