Agreed. I'm writing my thesis using LaTeX, and for most of the part my images need to be in EPS format. Converting all my images from PNG, PDF, JPG, GIF, etc to EPS is a snap with GraphicConverter. I just set up a batch job, and go for lunch while my Mac happily converts hundreds of images to EPS.

01. Open the picture in 'GraphicConverter'. 02. Select 'GraphicConverter's 'Picture, Size, Scale' sub menu item. A window titled 'Scale' will appear. 03. If not already set to 'Percent' set the 'Dimensions:'s 'Width' and 'Height' Popup menus to 'Percent'. 04. Enter '90' (for 90 percent) or '80' (for 80 percent) in both the 'Dimensions:' 'Width' and 'Height' text fields....

I downloaded Graphic Converter and it's close to what I want but right off the bat I notice a couple of annoying characteristics: I prefer to set the size of the window and then have the viewer scale the photo to fill that window. I can't find a Preference setting in Graphic Converter that will do that; either GC resizes the window to suit itself or it displays the image...

IrfanView is a jack-of-all-trades media viewer. PMView Pro appears to very much like GraphicConverter, albeit much less elegant. Long story short, download and install GraphicConverter.

Gimp.app (requires X11 which is on your OS X install discs) Seashore (a simplified port of Gimp, does not require X11 but lacks some features that Gimp has) GraphicConverter

You dont need to black-name the programs. it important to give many options for the user. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion but black-naming program will made you look like a bad person

Seashore looks like crap. Go with GraphicConverter.
