Httpmail Mail App

Hello everybody, I am a recent switcher and extremely thankful for it! The new developments since (Intel, Boot Camp etc.) have me very excited. My problem is that I have a Hotmail and a Yahoo! mail account (used at work). Unfortunately, I am unable to read my e-mail using Apple's included mail.app. I have even tried Thunderbird, still no good. Then I tried the following...

Microsoft made this change, but if it's about 4 odd years old, then this is why you can't link it to Mail.app. It's only the old Hotmail accounts that work with HTTPMail Plugin. ...

This is what I use to access my Hotmail account inside Mail.app once you set it up you can just drag you emails into a local folder. It's called HTTPMail

I was thinking that I could inport NEW Hotmail messages into my Mail account while offline. But you said that's not possible, so I guess I won't do the Mail thing. Ah well. Can't have everything, right? ...

I have that installed, but it's only for hotmail. If someone could explain how to do it the imap way I would really appreciate it.
