Hey, it's doing this because of a bug in either Hotmail/MS Passport's authentication system or Safari's handling of said authentication. Regardless, you've got automatic login enabled, right? Just turn that off. I think if you get rid of the cookie you should be fine. Of course, you could always go to MacUpdate & download the httpmail plugin...

On my system, the value is YES rather than 1, as I use bundles for GPGMail, so perhaps a mistake has been made in the instructions for the httpmail plugin. Try changing the command to replace the 1 with a YES and see if that works. ...

1. HTTPMail works if you use the "Open with Rosetta" function on the plugin. 2. Some ISPs block the port used for SMTP to outside send mail servers. I use the .Mac send mail server by switching to port 587 for the SMTP server.
