Httpmail Plugin

1. HTTPMail works if you use the "Open with Rosetta" function on the plugin. 2. Some ISPs block the port used for SMTP to outside send mail servers. I use the .Mac send mail server by switching to port 587 for the SMTP server.

That plugin is probably causing it. Remove it, and see if it doesn't crash then. ...

I have that installed, but it's only for hotmail. If someone could explain how to do it the imap way I would really appreciate it.

httpmail works with mail.app to connect to hotmail, it works pretty good. ok i found MrPostman its a java app that makes any email client work with hotmail but you have to launch it every time you want to use thunderbird, launching takes ages and it has an ugly interface with it :( and then you can use thunderbird with hotmail.
