iChat

when i go to open ichat. photobooth and iphoto they do not open they bounce up and down like they want to open but they just stop like i never clicked on it to open. what do i do to fix it

Preferences and inside tehre, delete com.apple.ichat.plist while iChat is not running. Restart the application. Any difference? ...

OK I was blind. Sorry about that. However i did follow all the steps but I guess a Sony HDV cam is not recognized by iChat.
