A month or two ago was when the problem started.. It takes 30 - 60 seconds after clicking on apple icon>sleep till monitor turned off and light starts flashing. Fixed permissions, browser caches emptied, desktop doesn't have that many files/folders on... Don't seem to help anyway. Don't know what else to try.. It is just annoying and not causing any problem at this...
