I'm having a very bad day. :( This is just one of the many problems that I am faced with. The default browser is set for "Image Capture Extention" and is grayed out so that I cannot change it to "Safari" Can anyone tell me what preference file(s) I need to dump in order to get it back to a default setting? Picture Attached. Oh, it works fine in another user.

Not sure if this is relevant, but I had a similar issue with a Sony still camera. I solved my issue with a software upgrade on the camera, not a driver on the computer. Doesn't seem that there are any software upgrades for your model though :( Does the camcorder work if you enable it from within iMovie or iDVD? Does it link via the application "Image Capture"? What version of iPhoto do you use? iPhoto '08 allows you to choose which photos you want to download and whether or not you want to keep or delete them from your camera. Prior to this I too used Image Capture because it allowed my to pick and choose which shots to download when I hadn't erased the memory card and didn't want to keep on downloading/deleting the same old...
