Can you not add a custom bullet in inDesign CS2 4.0.2.blabla? ...

Chipset with a Gig of Ram and I am trying to install Indesign CS2. I have tried using the installer and also dragging the install folder to my desktop... ...

is there a way when I select a text box to fill that box with white at about 50% transparency without affecting the transparency of the type? I know that I can just have a filled box below and use a tranparent text box, but Iheard that InDesign can do that, and if so i'd like to know how to 'properly' get things done rather than work-arounds. thanks.
