i recently received an ipod from a friend. It is in windows format and i have a macbook and for some reason when i plug it in to the usb port it will charge but itunes doesnt recognize it nor does it pop up on the desktop could anybody please help me

Follow that if it is one with a clickwheel, then it should come up in iTunes and let you restore. ...

You do it the same way -- with iTunes... ...but an iPhone can only be synced with one computer at a time. I do not know of a way of accessing the iPhone as a drive (like you can certain iPods), which would be one of the only ways to get those photos off the phone and onto your Mac. Perhaps someone who does know of a utility to do so can chime in here.

If I remember correctly iTunes uses the ports 22 & 3689 to stream music. Charlie
