MAMP

Hello,everybody! I installed MAMP om my Mac ( running MACOSX 10.3.9),it works ok,but php 5.0 would not pass values. In case of values to go from a form to php page for processing I am totally lost.IT IS a deadlock. Values entered do not stay. Page 1.

What hardware are you using, what system version, what version of Adobe and Macromedia software? Did you apply all the available updates to any of the software you're using and PS and Dreamweaver are _two_ applications and you didn't say what and how exactly you've installed MAMP. With the detail you're giving I can only say: Upgrade your RAM and get a faster harddrive...

Hello my mac running mac os x slows down after reformatting when I install both adobe photoshop and dreamweaver anybody know how to speed mac's up i only need my computer to web host using mamp and web design with adobe photoshop and dreamweaver but when those 3 are installed my mac slows down thnx in advance

well if you want the actual experience of doing it, then google, or search around del.icio.us a little bit. there's TONS of good tutorials. On the other hand, if you just want it installed to USE, check out MAMP. It's free, and installs in a clean, standalone folder. So it's easy to remove when you don't want/need it anymore. A question that I have yet to see answered about OS X Server... Why would anybody want to use the server builtin features for some simple things like webserving, ftp, mail, etc? Iv'e had the same problems from time to time. I'm not sure why it happens, but to get around the problem i used MAMP Here It makes setting up PHP, MySql so easy, and it's FREE

yup i even have apache running.... i think its mamp thats getting in the way... ...

now i have MAMP installed on tiger, when I try to open php files thru safari they dont execute..... any ideas on how to do this? ...

what version of php does MAMP install? ...
