Well Apple please don't do that stupid fake "flash mob" featured on YouTube because if you noticed in frame 2:15 mark you will noticed the store being shoplifted. I got this error after first mounting, in os x, an external disk that i had used in an old laptop but could not use anymore because it gave me that very message "ntldr missing". I used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone main drive to 2nd drive - solved it! This solution allows me to boot from either drive and/or to to delete Microsoft Office and other drive hogs on main drive so that it runs cleaner and use these programs on second drive where I can now save files on the same drive as the application - got to be better!
