No Info Rights Management for Office:Mac says M$!?

Originally posted by binaryDigit What? Disable? How on earth do they do that? There are still a ton of people out there using Office 4.2. Do you actually have any examples of this behaviour? My network's pretty solid though, as far as I know. In these few times, my friends-who are addicted to pranking-like to do things like change my screenshot file to something umm naughty, and I usually...

Ssl/ssh/sftp/ftp and all that jazz

sftp, ftp and ssh all work in terminal. try them and tell what you get as result. i'd go also for 'external encrypting' = sending the files encrypted e.g. with GPG or PGP (or e.g. Cypher) with your key and the receivers key. sorry - had to move the thread to system & misc. software board. but Welcome on board! :)

Some changes for 10.3

- Multiple desktops (change on dock) - KDE support; change to KDE as alternative to aqua as a 'theme' on sys prefs - Sun / KDE style clock - alternatively on dock (I'm not going to use konfub. only for a different clock) - Spamassassin, GPG / pgp and Unix email mailbox support to mail.app (of these gpg can be added later but it'd be nicer to have it there already) ...

Making a password protected CD ?

A simple solution would be this: - Open the Disk Copy program (in /Applications/Utilities) - Select File -> New -> New Blank Image - Select a CD-Rom mastering size (or go for 500mb for convenience). You might also make an image just the right size to hold the files you want to protect and allow a little room. - Select AES-128 encryption - You will be asked to enter a...
