Roxio Popcorn error messages

Simple question first. Do you have the 1.0.3 persuasion of Popcorn? A video_ts drive error? That folder is on your HD. You may have a problem with that puppy. Have you checked it out with (minimally) Disk Utility or (much better) TechToolPro or Disk Warrior? As far as "other errors" I fear that isn't specific enough to even hazard a guess.

Dvd ripping

Roxio's Popcorn will also do a backup of an unencrypted DVD (a.k.a. after MactheRipper or 0SEx0.0101b). Toast is an excellent program though, and it offers regular backup (disc spanning) and lots more. Doug

Burn w/ DVD Studio Pro?

DVD Studio Pro is not a program for taking .VOB files and compressing them to fit on a standard 4.7GB DVD-R disk. So far, there is no free Mac software for compressing .VOB files down to fit on a single-layer DVD-R disk. You must spring for Toast 7, Popcorn, DVD2One X or some other video DVD compressing application.
