Quick background. My old g4 DP 1 ghz died. I now have a new 24" iMac. The old G4 has three internal drives - all ATA. Though I backed up everything and am okay with that, the old machine will not start up (constant kernal panics and other issues). I have a few old external FW drives. What I am wondering is this - can I install any of these internal drives into one of my old...

Given the weird behaviors of iTunes and Photoshop, the fact that I saw Quicken and some other program folders on the 2nd...

I'm a PC guy being asked to help a Mac-owning friend. Her G5 running Leopard is acting very squirrely: iTunes keeps forgetting its tunes and complaining about damaged libraries (even after a uninstalling the old and installing the newest version); Photoshop crashes when scrolling through a folder of pictures (I moved them to a different drive and that solved it, but...), and...

Hrrrm . . . having failed to give the simple solution on another thread . . . this may be the problem: when people put in a disk and/or run a program off of a disk image, they are not, technically running the program off their computer--they have not actually installed it. For MOST applications, all you have to do it click on the image of the program and stick that in the...
