files with the extention .sitx are for use with Stuffit Expander. Download it from here Install that and you should then be able to double-click the .sitx file to expand, much like a ZIP file. The app used to be included with Mac OS X, but they got rid of it in either Panther or Tiger (i forget which). Not sure why, because a lot of Mac apps are in .sit format.
