Google has now released the OS X version of SketchUp. SketchUp is a free, 3D modelling tool and a "Pro" version ($495) exists too. The front page declares:

Ha! Yeah, right. Thank you for the info. I guess it's back to Google Maps for me. And I'll probably trash GE. If I don't use it, why let it sit there and take up space on my HD, right?

Amie if you think you good enough to make better picture (submit them with Google SketchUp) and place in YOUR Google maps.:eek:

I don't know how accurate your plan needs to be, but I find Google Sketchup really usefull. It really is simple to build 3D room plans as sketches. As with all these things there is a learning curve but the software is very intuative. ...

You could use Google Sketchup to draw up the box (as your template). Paste your images on the sides of the box. You can then visualize your product in 3D. hth

Yup, I knew this. Still cool, though. :) I seem to be getting into it very quickly and it produces nice results with little effort. I think the interface looks very good so far. Now I just need to see if I can align things easily...

Just for the record... Sketchup has existed for Mac OS X for a while... it's just that Google bought it, and has now released a free version. ...

A awesome little program called Sketchup. I have played around with it, a lot of fun. You can download it and run it in demo mode. Watch a few tutorials (on their website) to get the hang of it and fall and love at the same time. http://www.sketchup.com
