it again. Changed ALL fonts in TinkerTool to Comic Sans MS, closed Firefox, restarted my frickin' computer. Nothing! The only fonts that are Comic Sans MS are my Stickies font and the little battery time in the menu bar that tells you how much time you have left. Big whoop. ...

The G5 .. 21" display has dock on left, not hiding (somehting I do only when space on screen is not an issue), with a bunch of apps. Normally I have far less apps on it. ( = applications used for work, not specified names) So that has finder - terminal - adium - - mail - safari - - - address book - ical - - stickies - dictionary - sys prefs - - console - network utility...

OK, I'm kind of an anomaly in this respect: When I was on Panther, I *adored* LaunchBar. I couldn't use a different Panther machine efficiently without it. I was fine with Tiger, though, because it had spotlight (and Cmd+Enter to load the top hit). That was fine, until I installed Tiger on my main machine and Spotlight had a crapload of files in its database....

If I have my applications folder open in Finder, pressing 'S' will highlight Safari, pressing 'S' again will highlight Stickies. Pressings again will go back to Safari and so on. I have many more applications that begin with the letter 'S' so I don't understand this behaviour at all? why does it just between these two?....also sometimes pressing the button seems to do nothing,...

i'm having a ridiculous amount of permissions being repaired every time. how about this for a first time repair (i've not repaired in about 2 weeks): actually i can't upload it, i can't even just paste the text as the plain text file is 9mb. after all those permissions have been repaired, i run it again. i get this: (bear in mind that this is the 2nd or third pass,...

You don't need Pacifist to reinstall Mail. not sure about Stickies. You can just do a Custom Install from your Tiger disc. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301229
