Stickies

I just came to wondering, if I accidently deleted a default app, say Stickies or Mail, how would i go about replacing it.. ...

I've done a repair on file permissions about ten times today and it always seems to have the same problems. It never tells me that there isn't anything left to fix. Is this normal? Here is the output that I got the last time I ran it. I should say that I have not rebooted at all today. Do I need to reboot after repairing permissions? Also, as you can see below, it seems...

Stickies in Dashboard were a nice addition, and I like using them, but they are not resizeable. :( They only work well for certain things. Stickies on the Desktop work really well though, but I had to write a little script that backs them up every time I login, so I can keep rolling backups just in case the database goes south (which has happened to me more than once before)....

Darn - I thought the stickies were useless so I just didn't use them - all this because of exactly the same problem. However I have not had this problem in Tiger. (which I just installed a few days ago) I am using the stickies in dashboard - I find it works well there. Gary

Trash this file - 'com.apple.Stickies.plist' - located in user/library/preferences Trash this file - 'StickiesDatabase' - located in user/library Then try Stickies.

Well, I'm not exactly a computer whiz, so... I had/have this problem, where my w, y, 8, t, and a few other characters, wouldn't display... ... in iChat, only in the instant message windows. ... in Safari, although it seemed to be selective (i.e. would look fine in this forum, but not on something like eBay or wikipedia) ... in Stickies, in expanded view of a note...

hello all, i'm using tiger and when i type into several mac applications (stickies, ichat, entourage, textedit) i get duplicate keystrokes (ie. when i type a question mark or comma or colon i'll get two instead of one). anythink known on this? tia, michael
